Adult Speech and Language Therapy

In addition to providing evaluation and therapy in the areas of cochlear implant rehabilition/aural habilitation, tongue thrust, and fluency, Mellisa also works with adults who have a wide variety of other communication needs.

Adults may be referred for speech and language therapy by their physician for issues such as voice disorders, speech and language deficits due to stroke or head injury, and cognitive decline due to neurological disease, or may self-refer for accent reduction or female transgender voice therapy.  Regardless of the reason for seeking speech and language therapy, an individualized treatment program is designed for each client to maximize progress and achieve improved communication.
